Ingredients
  

  • 1 11 inches Ultra-thin pizza crust
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 large onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 pickled hot peppers, sliced optional
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Kashkaval or Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp sweet Hungarian-style paprika
  • Crushed red pepper for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 420ºF (215ºC).
    Grate the cheese, chop onions, and slice the hot peppers thinly.
  2. Caramelize Onions:
    Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    Add minced onions and cook slowly until golden brown and caramelized, about 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning
    Stir in the sweet Hungarian paprika into the caramelized onions, mix well, and then remove from heat.

  3. Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    Spread the tomato paste evenly over the crust, leaving a small border around the edges.

    Arrange the sliced hot peppers on top of the onions.

  4. Sprinkle the grated cheese.

  5. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the assembled pizza.
    Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is crispy and golden.

  6. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes for an extra kick of spice, if desired.
    Slice the pizza and serve it hot as a light dinner, lunch, or snack.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle some dried oregano or basil over the pizza before baking.
